Dr. Ramil Goel, MD
Dr. Ramil Goel specializes in cardiac electrophysiology which is a field associated with the study and treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders. These include medical conditions predisposing to both fast and slow heart rates which can present with dizziness, falls and palpitations. Irregular heart rhythms and extra beats also fall in the purview of this field. Cardiac electrophysiology is rapidly developing field of medicine which uses sophisticated technology to not only diagnose but also effectively treat the cause of the rhythms disorders with ablation procedures and implantation of pacemaker defibrillators. Apart from his training in cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Goel is board certified in cardiology and echocardiography.
He did his medical schooling from a premier institute in India. He worked as a hospitalist after completing his Internal Medicine residency from SUNY Buffalo. He thinks his training and subsequent practice has strengthened his appreciation for a more holistic approach to patient care. He believes in putting the patient’s arrhythmia issues in the context of his/her other medical conditions and personal life.
Dr. Goel did his Cardiology training from the Mayo clinic and electrophysiology training from the University of Michigan. He chose these institutions for their academic excellence and patient-centric approach. He looks forward to carrying forward these ideals of achieving the twin goals of excellent clinical decision making with great personalized care in his practice.
